Reformer on the Mat
You love the resistance, control and deep challenge of reformer. The harder bit is fitting regular studio classes around an already-full week.
Reformer on the Mat gives you one clear route to keep that style of training in your life: four strong, reformer-inspired SDP classes you can do at home, on your own timetable.
No endless browsing. No trying to recreate a reformer session yourself. Just a deliberately chosen route that gives you the precision, strength and full-body connection you came for.
One-off payment. Access starts immediately after purchase and lasts 14 days.
Reformer-inspired. Mat-based. Properly challenging.
The problem this solves
You already know you like the feeling of reformer: the resistance, the control, the concentration and the way your whole body has to work together. But studio timetables, travel and cost can make it difficult to do as consistently as you would like.
This route gives you a credible at-home answer. It does not pretend a mat is a machine. Instead, it uses sliders, resistance, weights and small props to recreate the qualities you are actually chasing: challenge, stability, precision and sustained time under tension.
The goal is not to copy the machine. It is to keep the training effect in your week.
Your Reformer on the Mat route
Each class approaches the reformer-inspired challenge slightly differently, but the outcome is consistent: stronger, more connected, more controlled training without needing to book a machine.
A full-body reformer-inspired burn using sliders, Magic Circle and weights. Core, legs and arms work from every direction so you finish feeling thoroughly trained.
The most literal bridge from reformer to mat: sliders, resistance band, bodyweight and weights recreate the resistance, stability and control you love from the machine.
Pure Pilates meets strength. Deep core connection builds into athletic full-body sequences that feel controlled, sculpting and quietly intense.
Advanced and strength-led, with loaded unilateral work, rotation and sustained time under tension. Precision under fatigue rather than rushing reps.
Why it feels like SDP
YOU ARE NOT CHASING A REFORMER MACHINE. YOU ARE CHASING HOW GOOD, STRONG TRAINING MAKES YOUR BODY FEEL.
Across the route, the common thread is resistance, stability, core connection and controlled strength — the things that make reformer satisfying in the first place, translated through the SDP Method.
Sam Deville • Founder, SDPYou love reformer-style training, but getting to studio classes consistently is not always realistic.
You want strength, control, resistance and that deep full-body connection — not generic home Pilates.
You are happy using props to make mat work more demanding and more interesting.
You want a clear four-class route so you can stop deciding and start training.
You specifically want to train on a reformer machine rather than recreate reformer-style training on the mat.
You are looking for gentle, equipment-light or beginner Pilates.
You want the shortest possible sessions — that is what Short + Strong is for.
You simply want the hardest route of the three — that is what MAX is for.
Before you buy
No. These are reformer-inspired mat classes. The programming and props recreate elements such as resistance, instability, control and time under tension without the machine.
The exact setup varies by class. Across the four sessions you will see sliders or socks, weights, a Magic Circle, a long resistance band, Bala Bangles, a Pilates or soft ball, a mini loop and, in Fire, Form & Force, a box or step and chair. You will not need every prop for every class.
No previous reformer experience is required, but this is not a gentle beginner route. It is best for confident movers who enjoy challenge, control and more advanced Pilates work.
